the korean war began in 1950 when the soviests ordered the north korean government to attack and take over south korea. on june 27 1950 presadent truman ordered u.s troopes into korea. the next day on the 28 general mc carthor was of un forces. he changed the tieds of the war and drove the koreans back to the border of china. the chines feared attack by the us so they lent support to the north koreans and drove the us back to south korea.
